Concept: An inventive home goods/gift shop

Only a language arts teacher would use the phonetic spelling ‘T-r-o-h-v’ to name her store. This 6,000 square-foot store really is a treasure trove of gifts and furniture. There are vintage goods in here mixed in with work from local artists. Owner Carmen Brock shops gift shows, flea markets, and works directly with local furniture makers. “Our favorites are turning material into something that’s practical and resourceful so we spend a lot of time looking for people with vintage goods whether it is tool molds that can be sculptures or wooden boxes that can become coffee tables,” she says.
