Twig is an eco-lifestyle shop offering a thoughtful collection of fair trade products, gifts and green goods for the conscious consumer. Formerly in the woodworking business, in 2007 Shawn Slome opened Twig in a shopping center that currently includes a Whole Foods Store. Slome continues his love of woodworking by producing wooden tables and benches to sell in his store and he stocks several lines of locally produced goods. Best described as a mini-department store, the 1,500-sq. ft. shop is merchandised into areas that include textiles, housewares, apparel and fashion accessories, garden supplies and baby gifts.

Active in the community, part of the mission at Twig is to support community members, businesses, organizations, and schools through outreach and education about sustainable and responsible living. Each summer, Twig sponsors a back-to-school promotion designed to introduce students to responsibly produced, eco-friendly back-to-school necessities.
