Isabelle’s Originals and Ivy Threads
Six years ago, Robin Werner opened her first store, Isabelle’s Originals, offering machine-quilting services to other quilters. Three years ago, she added fabrics to the store and Ivy Threads to the name. Finally, in September she moved into a larger store, and expanded her offerings once again. Werner has successfully continued to grow her business.
“My real passion is designing,” says Werner, “Many of the people that come to me, want quilts designed for them. They want to spend their time and effort making the quilt, not designing the patterns.”
Inspired by Deb Ewoldt’s Rustywear clothing, Werner took the process one step further, and applied the technique to bolts of cloth. Once dyed, the material is offered as RustyYards.
Everyone who walks into Isabelle’s Originals and Ivy Threads will find not only the inspiration for their project but all the materials needed to execute it.
