Artist Mercantile

Jennifer Bisch, Owner
artistmerc.com

Located in the heart of downtown St. Paul is the aesthetically appealing Artist Mercantile, a shop full of locally made arts and crafts. This shop doubles as a gallery, creating a place for Minnesota artists to display and sell their items. Artist Mercantile works with over 60 Minnesota-based artists who offer their creative work for reasonable prices.

Owner Jennifer Bisch says a shop like hers is important for the local artists and economy, and is a must-see stop for tourists looking for the perfect Minnesotan gift. “We have new things come in each week so our customers really get a unique set of out-of-the-ordinary options,” she says.

With items like jewelry made from rocks straight out of Lake Superior, Artist Mercantile is one-of-a-kind. Bisch says it’s all about customer service, and she is always willing to take time to help customers find the “can’t-live-without-it” gift.
