Best Sellers in New Orleans, Louisiana By Christy Lorio

Little Miss Muffin

Little Miss Muffin is a Lakeview institution, having served its customers since 1970. After Hurricane Katrina devastated the area, the owner, Monique Sobrino, decided to open up shop in a temporary secondary location. This store did so well that it remains open even after the original shop reopened.

Sobrino bought the business from her grandmother, thus keeping it a family business for 40 years. Generations of families have been shopping here which makes for a really unique experience. Little Miss Muffin has a loyal customer base. The store successfully uses Facebook to help promote new items. In addition to the large children’s clothing and housewares selections, there is also a women’s clothing section, which does extremely well.
