Best Sellers in Portland, Oregon By Marta Drevniak

Zucari Home and Garden

Zucari Home and Garden, located downtown on NW 23rd Avenue, is a cozy sanctuary on a street anchored by large, well-known chain stores like Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware.

Owner John Anderson started his business in 2000 working out of a cramped basement. Just one year later, he was able to open the 23rd Avenue location—bringing his distinctive home and garden accessories out into the light and to a larger audience.

Recently, the boutique celebrated its tenth anniversary, an exciting milestone for any small business. It’s a testament to Anderson’s ability to stock timeless, quality items in the store.

Zucari’s bright cottage-in-the-city atmosphere makes it a shining example of Portland retail at its best. The store has everything under the sun—from fragrant candles to cheerful ceramics—and a great selection of gifts for those with a green thumb.
