Best Sellers in Portland, Oregon By Marta Drevniak

Tilde

Ultra hip and modern, lifestyle accessories boutique Tilde showcases independent artists along with the mid-century modern aesthetic lovingly peppered throughout the Portland scene.

Owner Debbe Hamada opened the boutique five years ago in Portland’s family-friendly Sellwood neighborhood. With the advantage of a strong personal network of talented artists and a clear point of view, she quickly filled the store with unique pieces that have kept customers coming back.

An artist herself, Hamada has carefully created a gallery-like atmosphere that still invites shoppers to touch and explore each artifact as they move around the store.

Jewelry is displayed in curio cabinets like rare specimens of nature and matted prints artfully spill out of vintage furniture.

Each collection is presented along with a brief biography of the artist and after popular demand buyers are now able to take home a copy with purchase.
