Catching up with Gina Peterson, 40 Under 40 Class of 2017 By Debbie Eisele

Owner and graphic designer for Ginger P. Designs

Peterson was one of the winners selected for our inaugural Gift + Stationery 40 Under 40 Awards. As owner and graphic designer for Ginger P. Designs, she has enjoyed designing her own wedding invitations and growing her stationery company. What started out as an Etsy shop, Gina P. Designs grew quickly into a brick-and-mortar business offering a wholesale stationery line.

How has receiving the Gift + Stationery 40 Under 40 Award positively impacted you, personally and professionally?

When you have your own business and are working for yourself, it is an honor to be recognized within your industry. Personally, it has given me confidence and I even have it proudly displayed on my self-description in my “About Me” on our website :)!

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Is it weird that in five years I hope I am still working and designing for Ginger P. Designs because I love it?

What advice can you share with others in this industry about growing a career, business, or network?

My advice for anyone working in this industry (or any industry) is that you have to have passion or the days will get long.
