Winter 2007
Carding Home the Profits By Randall Mielke

All Things Paper

Every spring, the National Stationery Show in New York showcases upcoming trends in the greeting card and stationery industries. Show manager Patti Stracher says attendance allows retailers an opportunity for great one-stop shopping—more than 1,200 exhibitors are expected to participate in the 2007 show.

“The selection of products really are the cream of the crop,” Stracher, from George Little Management, says. Stracher encourages retailers of all stripes to attend the show, May 20-23. More than 12,000 retailers are expected to attend this year.

“Without question, paper is essential to all retailers’ merchandise mix. In addition to reviewing and shopping for fabulous products, retailers can check out merchandising ideas and bring them right back to the store,” Stracher says.
