Market Debuts: Summer shows laden with fresh products
As summer buying season approaches, retailers can anticipate reorganized and expanded markets in addition to a front-row seat to the latest trends across categories.
Dallas Total Home & Gift Market kicks off the summer June 19-25, debuting a record number of expanding gift and home showrooms, according to Dallas Market Center. The show is also trending to be the largest summer edition of Temps at Total Home & Gift Market in a decade, early reports indicated.
“We are anticipating the largest selection of exhibitors in 10 years and we couldn’t be more thrilled,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO
of Dallas Market Center.
Atlanta Market runs July 16-22, offering gift sourcing on 19 floors across Buildings 1, 2 and 3. In addition to general gift items, AmericasMart presents specialized gift, including tabletop, housewares, gourmet, outdoor living and seasonal. This July, 10 updates
will expand the permanent showroom offerings.
“Summer market in Atlanta brings some exciting changes that serve to enhance the buyer experience and make it easier to discover new products and vendors,” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of ANDMORE.
The market is recategorized into a collection of 1,400 gift and home temporaries in seven categories across eight floors in Buildings 2 and 3: HIGH DESIGN, Home, Kitchen + Table, Cash & Carry, Makers Hub, Gift, and Fashion Accessories. Additionally, The Gardens is being reimagined exclusively on Floor 9, creating a single garden gift and décor sourcing destination with nearly 55 brands.
Las Vegas Market, taking place July 28-Aug. 1, will provide access to products with a showcase of about 400 brands in six easy-to-shop categories and aims to feature new inspiration through its recently launched (A) List program.
In a reflection of the Market’s unique cross-category composition, tastemakers will curate “Build (A) Room” vignettes, creatively combining and cross- merchandising gift, home and furniture from Las Vegas Market’s 3,500-plus resources, Belshaw said.
“Access to new products, new brands and new ideas consistently motivates buyers to attend our markets,” Belshaw said. “With this in mind, we prioritize identification and integration of emerging resources, alongside established, industry-leading brands, making both Atlanta and Las Vegas ideal destinations to find a breadth and depth of new and best-selling resources.”
New this summer, buyers will also be able to access a web-based version of the Market Plan, a checklist of must-see exhibitors, to help map a pre-show strategy. The Market Plan will now sync across the web and the @Market App, providing a seamless experience before, during and after market. The websites will continue to offer comprehensive access to an exhibitor directory, a full schedule of seminars and events and other market details.
As part of New York’s Market Week, Shoppe Object (Aug. 4-6) and NY NOW (Aug. 4-7) will be concurrently held in Manhattan.
Highlighting home and gift, Shoppe Object will have an expanded floor show across two neighboring locations, Skylight at Essex Crossing and Pier 36. Meanwhile, NY NOW will have thousands of legacy and emerging brands unite to showcase their newest collections to buyers from around the globe.
NY NOW is continuing its celebration of its 100- year anniversary and will include the newest trends from brands in jewelry and accessories, gift and lifestyle, and home, according to show executives.
