Giving-back appeals to shoppers, so create a space to offer products with a purpose and share the stories with your customers, as they will enjoy knowing the money they spend will not only make their special someone happy, but also help others in need. Lauren-Ashley Barnes, founder and creative director of Pineapple Sunday Design Studio shared how they are giving-back with their products.

What is your mission?
Lauren-Ashley Barnes (LB): At Pineapple Sundays we aim to create quality products with purpose and self-care in mind. Our mission is to always stay rooted in joy and gratitude while inspiring others to celebrate life everyday.

How do your products serve the mission?
LB: A percentage of every purchase helps to support organizations and programs that empower women and people of color. This year we’re continuing to focus on donating to The Loveland Foundation, which helps provide free therapy for women and girls of color. We value the importance of self-care and the act of healing and growing in a healthy positive way.
What are your plans for the future?
LB: Pineapple Sundays is focusing on growing the brand internationally, increasing our product line and doing more art licensing projects.
How can retailers get involved?
LB: A percentage of every wholesale order helps benefit The Loveland Foundation, retailers can contact us through our website to place an order. Sharing is caring — we love when retailers tag us on Instagram, it helps spread the word about our brand, products and mission while also allowing us to showcase our retailers on our page.
