Products with Purpose By Julie McCallum

Companies that give back affect more than just sales with a mission to serve others.

Products that give back: Social stationery, greeting cards and wedding invitations

Company Mission:  Give Twice

How do the products serve the mission? WritefullyHis sells stationery and greeting cards via retail and wholesale. It gives 20 percent of its proceeds back to purchasing paper and pencils for school children in East Africa. The company currently supports three schools in Uganda, two in Kenya, one in Rwanda and two in Tanzania.

WritefullyHisPlans for the future: “In the next five years we hope to open up our own WritefullyHis Academy in Tanzania,” Wallace said. “This will be built through The WritefullyHis Foundation.”

How can retailers get more involved?Retailers can get more involved with not only the purchase of wholesale products for their stores but through events where they can share the WritefullyHis word. Events can raise awareness and create a way of giving for these students.
