Best Sellers in New York City/Long Island, New York By Bernadette Starzee

Arcadia

Most shoppers come into Arcadia looking for a gift, but when they get inside, plans go awry. “They come in with the excuse to buy a gift for someone else,” says owner Jay Gurewitsch, “but they wind up buying things for themselves, too.” In the end, he says, sales are evenly split between gift purchases and personal purchases, which is fine with him.
