Cow Over The Moon’s eclectic gifts are displayed in the front of the shop, and authentic sports memorabilia is available toward the back. “When you own a gift shop, you have to carry items that appeal to a wide range of people,” says owner Joel Dennett. Many visitors to his shop aren’t looking for a specific item, he says, but then something catches their eye. “They might think, ‘I’m going to Barbara’s next week, and this would be a good gift,’ or they might buy something for themselves.” Either way, he’s happy to ring up the sale.
