25th Annual ARTS Awards Presenters Include Distinguished Industry Leaders

Dallas Market Center and ART, the creative home furnishings network, today announced the presenters for the 25th annual ARTS Awards to be held on Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas. Presenters include Fine Art Lamps Owner and ARTS Awards Hall of Fame Member Max Blumberg; Uttermost President and CEO and 24th annual ARTS Awards Academy of Achievement award recipient, Mac Cooper; Designer and 11th annual ARTS Awards Academy of Achievement award recipient, Carolyn Kinder; industry veteran and 13th annual ARTS Awards Academy of Achievement award recipient, Sy Mayerson; as well as representatives from ART and Dallas Market Center. Mike Mullins, event producer for the Santa Fe International Folk Market and previous producer of ARTS Awards, will act as master of ceremonies.

Blumberg is president and owner of Fine Art Lamps, which provides original lighting designs of beautifully handcrafted metal, hand-blown glass and other unique materials with exquisite finishes. Since 1964, Blumberg has carried on the family commitment to design excellence and superb workmanship. The company has been honored with numerous design awards including the prestigious ART Manufacturer of the Year Award nine times, distinguishing the company and qualifying its induction into the ARTS Awards Hall of Fame.

Cooper is president and CEO of Uttermost, a company that manufacturers products in a range of categories including accent furniture, mirrors, wall décor, art, lighting, permanent botanicals and more. The Cooper Family of Uttermost was the recipient of the 24th annual ARTS Awards Academy of Achievement honor. Cooper worked at the family business as a young boy, alongside his brother and sisters, officially joining the team in 1987. He has led Uttermost through many years of rapid growth and today the manufacturer is global in both customers and resources with factories and distribution facilities in California, Virginia and China.

As a world-renowned artist and inspired designer, Kinder has achieved more than $1 billion in sales in the home furnishings industry over the past four decades. Kinder’s oil paintings, artwork and commissioned projects adorn governors’ mansions, battleships and private collections including those of Winthrop Rockefeller. Kinder was the former chairman of the ART Committee for Customer Awareness and a recipient of numerous awards including the 11th annual ARTS Awards Academy of Achievement honor.

Mayerson’s involvement in the home furnishings world over the years has included principal, CEO, president, designer and educator, as well as winner of the 13th annual ARTS Awards Academy of Achievement honor. Mayerson is currently chairman and president of The Mayerson Group International (MGI), a multi-faceted corporate development organization; former president and principal of Westwood Industries; a founder and president of New York Mayor’s Council on Home Furnishings for the Design Industry; founder and former director of Master of Fine Arts in Architectural Lighting Design Program; and former member of the Board of Governors of Parsons School of Design. Mayerson is on the board of various national and international businesses and educational programs within the lighting and home furnishings industries.

Mullins, master of ceremonies for the 25th annual ARTS Awards, is an event producer at the Santa Fe International Folk Art Market. He has previously held the positions of vice president, corporate communications as well as vice president, creative services/special projects at Dallas Market Center. During his time at the Market Center, he produced the Dallas Fashion Awards and ARTS Awards, also serving as master of ceremonies, and distinguishing Dallas at the premier destination for industry-leading events.

Dallas Market Center President and CEO, Bill Winsor and COO, Cindy Morris, will serve as presenters along with ART’s Executive Director Sharon Davis and Mindy Lowack, president of ART and director of leasing at Dallas Market Center.
