Portishead, UK – A love of the coast, years of retail experience and a burning ambition to run their own business lead a Portishead couple to open a nautical-themed boutique on the town’s bustling High Street.

For Ivan and Steph Hargrave, who have a two-year-old daughter, it was a huge step to invest their savings in a new business, but the risk has paid off and Flagship Boutique is already proving to be a hit with locals.

“We obviously believed in the idea, otherwise we wouldn’t have invested all of our money, but there were a lot of sleepless nights,” admits Ivan, who was the manager of menswear store John Anthony in Bristol for ten years before taking the plunge.
