Adora Expands Sandy’s ADORA-ble Friends Collection at IDEX

Edison, NJ – Following last year’s successful launch of a collection of 12 storybook dolls called Sandy’s ADORA-ble Friends, Adora Inc. – one of the leading designers and crafters of fine limited edition and collectible dolls – is pleased to announce that it will unveil a set of six new characters for this 8-inch doll collection at IDEX this summer.

“Parents have given us enthusiastic feedback about Sandy’s ADORA-ble Friends and Adora’s other collections,” says David Lin, President of Adora. “They are looking for wholesome dolls, like ours, for their daughters and are disturbed by the increased sexiness of play dolls being marketed to young girls.”

In the Sandy’s ADORA-ble Friends collection, each doll is accompanied by a storybook with a different heartwarming adventure about Sandy and one of her friends. The adventures take place in various countries, including the United States, and showcase activities that reflect the cultures of the friends Sandy visits. This year, storybook author Margaret Mardyniak has once again called upon her vivid imagination with tales of adventure that have inspired Adora’s doll artists and designers to create charming costumes for the characters in these delightful stories.

This second set of full-body vinyl dolls will hail from the country of China and the states of Ohio, Virginia, Alaska, New Jersey and Mississippi. Their accompanying story books will tell the tales of a visit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the 400th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown, panning for gold in Alaska, participating in the New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge, a cruise on the Mississippi River in a Paddle-wheel Steamboat and a celebration of the Chinese New Year.

The new dolls in the Sandy’s ADORA-ble Friends collection will debut at IDEX, which takes place June 29 to July 1 at the Rio Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
