Americasmart Apparel Advances Under New Leadership

Atlanta, GA—The AmericasMart Apparel franchise grows into a new era of fashion innovation and style with the appointment of Lori Kisner as Senior Vice President in charge of all apparel leasing and trade show sales for all women’s, men’s, children’s, bridal and accessories lines, according to Jeffrey L. Portman, president and chief operating officer of AmericasMart parent company AMC, Inc.

Kisner rejoins AmericasMart following a highly successful tenure at Surf Expo, the high-profile fashion/activeware/lifestyle apparel tradeshow which she helped to create under AMC’s ownership more than 20 years ago, prior to its acquisition by DMG World Media in 1999.  Kisner assumes leadership of AmericasMart Apparel following the departure of Lawton Hall and Chuck Corvi, who are now pursuing other interests.

A fashion trade show industry veteran with more than 23 years’ experience, Kisner takes the lead in an apparel franchise deep in resources and primed for continuing growth.  AmericasMart Apparel houses more than 8,000 apparel and accessory lines in more than 550 showrooms and up to 1,000 booths constituting the largest single apparel market on the East Coast.  Its five annual markets serve retailers from across the southeast and throughout the U.S.

Kisner brings to AmericasMart Apparel deep experience and expertise in business development, industry alliance building, customer partnership enhancement and trade mart/trade show operation and staging. She began her trade show career in 1986 as AmericasMart men’s and boy’s trade show sales coordinator, and was subsequently appointed Surf Expo Sales Manager in 1988, with her Surf Expo tenure continuing through 2009.

The AmericasMart Apparel Market®, held five times annually, is the largest apparel market on the East Coast offering thousands of contemporary lines all together in one location at one time. Spanning 2.1 million square feet over 13 floors, Atlanta Apparel combines men’s, women’s, children’s, shoes, accessories and jewelry product in a comprehensive facility housing more than 550 permanent showrooms, 1,000 temporary booths and nearly 8,000 apparel and accessory lines.
