April Cornell Launches New Giving World Website

Burlington, Vt. – April Cornell provides an opportunity for charitable giving with the launch of its new website, givingworldfoundation.org. April Cornell has long been recognized for her philanthropic endeavors through The Giving World Foundation. Her website now offers opportunities for others to learn of the foundation’s philanthropic endeavors and to support this worthwhile charity.

The vision of the Giving World Foundation, based in Burlington, Vermont, is to provide a hand hold, not a hand out, to those in need throughout India. The foundation’s primary mission is to help disadvantaged people become self-reliant and empower them to achieve solutions that improve their quality of life.

The Giving World site features detailed information about the foundation and the projects it funds. Visitors will enjoy the site’s stories and photography that illustrate each project. Additional features include a photo gallery and two poignant flash videos, “The Giving World” and “A Walk Through India.” Those who wish to support the Foundation can click on the site’s ‘Donations’ tab to view a personal letter from April, donation options and submissions information.

“I know our industry is very much a part of the Giving World in spirit,” says April Cornell, “and now people in our industry can become a real part of the Giving World by visiting www.givingworldfoundation.org. At the site, people can learn more about the foundation’s projects and can help make a real difference in the world with their support.”

About The Giving World Foundation

When April Cornell started her business over a quarter of a century ago, she was particularly drawn to the beauty of the culture of India and found much inspiration there. Cornell began manufacturing her own designs, and in 1991, built the company’s first facility in New Delhi, where traditional Indian printing methods are still used today. As the business grew in India, Cornell developed a deep concern for the impoverished conditions in which many children and families live. She was compelled to find an effective, lasting way to give back to the people and communities she had come to know so well. To achieve this, in the early 1990s Cornell established what is today the Giving World Foundation. The objective of the foundation is to provide a handhold, not a handout, to those in need throughout India. The primary mission of the Giving World is to help disadvantaged people become self-reliant and empower them to achieve solutions that improve their quality of life. One hundred percent of the organizations donations fund projects and programs supporting women and children who can influence the entire family and elevate the overall quality of life.
