Barrington Flower Shop Owner Shares Lifetime of Expertise
Barrington, IL – Built in the 1870s, the oldest commercial building in Barrington has been expertly spruced up with roses, orchids, sunflowers, mums and garden decor.
That is because Glen and Mary Cay Egeland have been running the Barrington Flower Shop out of the home for the last 26 years.
“We were driving around and we saw the building up for sale and we stopped and looked. We couldn’t resist,” said Glen Egeland, who grew up working for his uncle in a Chicago flower shop.
