Cast your beady eyes over crafty sisters’ gift shopBy SpenboroughGuardian.co.uk

Jewellery company Beadelicious has opened a new gift shop to complement its range of handmade accessories.

Keepsakes, the latest venture for sisters Beverley Dawson and Donna Coe, offers cards and gifts for special occasions at affordable prices.

Donna said: “We’re on a budget ourselves and realise people like nice things but you want them to be reasonably priced. If we receive a discount we want to pass it on to our customers. It’s credit crunch gifts without having to compromise on quality.”

The shop – in Town Street, Earlsheaton – stocks many of the best-selling items from the old Beadelicious shop in Wakefield Road, alongside newly-sourced ranges.

Beverley said: “We do still have some independent designers who make soaps and cards. We’ve also been to gift fairs and shows to find suppliers who are unique.

“Through Beadelicious we also offer the same services we did before – bespoke jewellery and children’s parties. We’ve got a big basement downstairs and that’s where the jewellery making happens.”

She said the new shop had attracted a lot of interest since it opened last Wednesday.

“We’re pleased with the first week. We’ve had a lot of positive comments and repeat customers already which is great,” she said.
