Beatriz Ball supports autism awareness for April corporate cause
April is Autism Awareness month. Beatriz Ball supports autism awareness as its corporate cause.
The inspiration for this is Beatriz’s grandson Bo, the youngest of her thirteen grandchildren. Diagnosed at the age of three, Bo is now 13 years old and his greatest joy is being with his big extended family and traveling whenever he can.
This summer he will attend a camp in Colorado for kids like Bo, to experience adventure and independence. He will also attend Camp Benny for his second summer. This is a camp for kids on the autism spectrum. Beatriz Ball provides a scholarship for a child to attend three weeks at Camp Benny.
Beatriz Ball is also donating 100% of the profits from two of special items to the organization Autism Speaks. One is an autism awareness keychain and the other is holiday ornament.
Autism Speaks is an autism advocacy charity and the largest autism research organization in the United States, with outreach aimed at families, governments and the public.
