Dexter, MI – Boxwood Cottage and Home owners Gail Hauman and Mandy Pomo want to help people in and around Dexter turn their homes and the decor and furnishings contained within into positive self expressions.

The pair of Dexter residents opened their business last November after Hauman called Pomo out of the blue to revisit an idea they had been talking about since meeting each other at the preschool their children attended years prior. They began working on the Boxwood brand concept after Dexter Dog Grooming’s former space at 3216 Alpine Street became available.

The house was “perfect,” both ladies said, since it’s a commercial address attached to a residential style building, which the pair have worked tirelessly since August to fashion into not only a suitable retail space, but also a showroom for how Boxwood products could be used.
