Burton + BURTON hosts Ballooniversity 2022
In celebration of its 40th Anniversary, burton + BURTON will host Ballooniversity in Athens, Georgia, Aug. 10–13, 2022. The event is held every five years and provides opportunities to learn from the best in the industry and network with people from the balloon, floral, and gift industries.
Event Details
This event provides two days of hands-on training and balloon building, which is followed by two additional days of classes with more hands-on instruction. The centerpiece creation that will be crafted in the workshop will be showcased at the Saturday Gala and will focus on the theme: The Future is Ours, a celebration of space and exploration.
“The world-renowned and record-holding Gary Ledbetter and Guido Verhoef return as our lead designers for a fun-filled two days of instruction. Attendees will learn how to decorate a large-scale event from start to finish while developing the skills necessary to recreate sculptures, walls, stage décor and smaller sellable designs like interactive photo frames,” burton + Burton detailed on its website.
Decorator’s Workshop |Aug. 10-11
This hands-on workshop is lead from top instructors from around the world. Participants will create larger-than-life balloon décor to be used as the centerpiece of the Saturday Night Gala.
Ballooniversity Classes |Aug. 12-13
The classes are geared towards the balloon newbie or seasoned professionals that want to expand upon existing skills. Classes will instruct participants in timeless décor, twisting, deco-twisting, floral design, and more.
