Business Savvy! Eloisa Dimarucut-Hudson, Owner of Sunglasses Etc.and Etcetera Boutique
Guam – There may not be a magical formula for running a successful business, but all business owners must possess one thing — guts. That’s exactly what Eloisa Dimarucut-Hudson relied on when she first opened Sunglasses Etc. in September 2011.
Dimarucut-Hudson moved to the U.S. mainland in 1986 for college and earned a degree in graphic design. Interested in a position with the company she was working for in college, she presented her portfolio in hopes of getting hired. As fate would have it, the company’s marketing assistant resigned, leaving a spot open for Dimarucut-Hudson to give marketing a shot.
Her initial position united elements of both marketing and graphic design. Eventually, she gravitated more toward the marketing side and headed the company’s marketing creative teams.
