Creative Child Magazines votes ‘Cahootie’ four-time Winner

Chicago, IL – A modern twist on a piece of paper folded for little fingers and thumbs won the hearts of over 50 judges at the annual Creative Child Magazine Awards competition.

Cahootie, the high-quality game with removable and interchangeable fortune stickers hidden under triangle flaps, earned not one but four prizes in the 2008 Classic Games Category from child experts and moms who probably played a homemade version of the game themselves, decades ago!

Four of Cahootie’s six themed products wowed the judges at the annual Creative Child Magazine competition:

2008 Game of the Year Award: Wishes & Dreams
Look under Money, Love Letter or Fame and you might uncover, “You’ll go to a top university! Study up!!!”
2008 Preferred Choice Award: Birthday Wishes
Peek under Piñata, Balloons or Cupcake and you might reveal, “What famous person would you invite to your party?”

2008 Seal of Excellence Award: Truth or Dare
Lift the flap on Dare and you might be dared, “Using your toes, write your name with a pen!”
2008 Seal of Excellence Award: Sporty Girls
Flip the triangle on Pitch, Ribbon Dance or First Place and you might be asked, “Who makes you nervous when they watch you play?”

Creative Child Magazine hosts a two-day annual event in Henderson, Nevada where guest reviewers are invited to participate. All products are divided into categories and displayed at various review stations. Guest reviewers – child experts, educators and moms — are asked to sit and review products at one station and then move to another station. This allows for each product to be given multiple reviews based on criteria that corresponds to the product’s category. Upon completion of the event all review forms are collected, scores are tabulated and awards given (or not) based on dozens of comments.

2008 Game of the Year winner, Wishes & Dreams
Only one product per category can win a Game of the Year award, as well as, CD, DVD, Book and Toy of the Year. The remaining finalists receive a prestigious Preferred Choice award – given to Runners-Up of the CD, DVD, Book and Game of the Year. The Seal of Excellence is another prestigious award that is given to those products that are not finalists but do exceed expectations based on the criteria for nurturing creativity and education in children.

Cahootie is made by Green Rock Entertainment (GRE) who predicts that hi-tech schoolgirls and guys will thoroughly enjoy the old-fashioned paper game now with 40 reposition-able fortune stickers, award-winning designs, laminated paper, and six themes – allowing any game play to constantly change and surprise players. With an interactive website, www.cahootie.com, this classic gadget encourages creativity with thought-provoking queries that players randomly select.

Recommended for children ages 7 and up, the six current Cahootie themes suggested price is just $5.95, making them a perfect add-on to a birthday gift, sleepover favor or good report card treat.

And just in time for the Presidential race this November, Cahootie offers both Republican and Democrat games that showcase your party or American history knowledge.
