Cary gift and paper boutique celebrates its FIRST birthdayBy Press Releases

Cary, NC – First birthdays are always special, but for a new boutique owner in a challenging economy, this milestone presents an opportunity to show gratitude.

Cary’s Cute Buttons Gift and Paper Boutique will host its “First Birthday Customer Appreciation Party” September 4th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. to celebrate one year of boutique bliss and thank shoppers and paper lovers. Visitors can browse the lovely wares, many of which are exclusive to Cute Buttons, while enjoying a glass of sparkling and special discounts all day on September 4th and 5th.

Despite the current economic outlook, the boutique is proud of its ever-growing customer base that includes people who love to purchase paper and gifts with style. When the store opened last year, Triangle shoppers found a new place to stock up on pretty paper and whimsical gifts.

Formed by Alison Kim McLaurin, creator/designer of Raleigh-based paper line tikilynn cards & notes, Cute Buttons showcases a festive crop of up-and-coming paper and gift lines including Dirt Candles, Katie & Co., Choosey Chicks, Jane Marvel, Lollia by Margot Elena and, of course, tikilynn cards & notes.

Nestled in downtown Cary, Cute Buttons delights in their work with brides, grads, moms and party people everywhere select wedding and party invitations, baby announcements, birthday, bridal and baby shower invitations and personalized stationery. Fun gifts are another mainstay at the store. Shoppers can find lots of cool items including t-shirts, pajamas, handbags, wine arcs, chunky notepads, clipboards, and boxed stationery.

McLaurin feels blessed to have made it to a year. She always remembers that she would not be in business without her customer support. In fact, a lot has happened since the store opened: McLaurin – who now uses her new last name, Perry – became a bride herself in June. No doubt about where her wedding invitations came from, huh?

“I feel blessed that in 12 short months, we’ve been able to create a festive store environment where shoppers’ senses come alive when they walk through the front door,” said Perry. “I believe the shopping spirit is still thriving in North Carolina, and we truly appreciate each and every person who continues to shop locally and support independent boutiques like ours!”
