Cathedral Art Bracelets Raise Thousands To Benefit Boston and Oklahoma Victims
When disasters strike, Americans respond with a helping hand – or wrist, in this case! Cathedral Art Metal – located just a short drive from Boston – responded quickly to raise money for the Boston Marathon victims, and have already raised close to $40,000 for The One Fund Boston, the official fundraising agency, with an original line of bracelets.
And although Cathedral Art is not close to Oklahoma, the company recognized another opportunity to aid those impacted by the devastating tornados. Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin and the United Way of Central Oklahoma formed the OK Strong Disaster Relief Fund, and Cathedral is now raising money for that worthwhile cause.
Cathedral Art Metal is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of religious and inspirational giftware. A portion of the company’s metal-based product is made in its own Rhode Island facility, and with this expertise, Leo Tracey – Cathedral president – decided to create a line of bracelets to benefit One Fund Boston; with each bracelet sold generating a donation.
“We feel it is important for a company like ours to be responsive to the needs of others,” said Leo Tracey. “We are so fortunate to be able to reach out and lend a helping hand to the innocents who have been so tragically impacted by both man-made and natural disasters. The response from consumers as well as retailers has been overwhelming and their support of the bracelets has helped us near our goal of $50,000 for The One Fund Boston!”
The bracelets are engraved with uplifting words: Boston Strong and Wicked Strong and come in different designs. Each comes in small, medium and large sizes and range from $10 to $20 retail. The OK Strong designs have two messages – We Are OK and OK Strong and like Boston, come in different designs and sizes. The pricing is the same as the Boston Strong program, and all are being made in the USA.
