CIB Publishes 20th Anniversary Edition

(Grundy Center, IA) — The Collectors’ Information Bureau, a trade association comprised of top manufacturers in the field of limited edition collectibles, is pleased to announce the publication of its 20th anniversary edition CIB Collectibles Market Guide & Price Index, a book with feature stories tracing the exciting past, present, and future of the collectibles industry.

“For two decades, the CIB Collectibles Market Guide & Price Index has been an excellent, independent authority for all collectors interested in up-to-date secondary market prices,” said Linda Kruger, the Executive Director of the Collectors’ Information Bureau. “This 20th anniversary edition, which celebrates the CIB’s 25th anniversary, is no different, but it also provides a unique ‘insider’s’ view of the many fine artists and companies, both past and present, that contributed to this industry’s rich history and success over the years.”

The 20th edition of the CIB Collectibles Market Guide & Price Index contains a host of collectibles information, including how to care for and enjoy collectible treasures. The book also contains 25 featured artists who have helped shape the collectibles industry, including Dean Griff, Sandra Kuck, and Jim Shore, along with profiles of a variety of leading collectibles manufacturers, including Anheuser-Busch, Inc., Department 56, Goebel of North America, and Lladro.

The CIB Collectibles Market Guide & Price Index is an invaluable, go-to guide for collectibles enthusiasts, insurance companies, appraisers and secondary market dealers seeking information about price, product condition and trends, and has long been the collectibles industry’s most respected source for gaining perspective on secondary market values.

The book, which retails for $24.95, affords collectors and enthusiasts alike the opportunity to browse nearly 400 pages of collectibles information. Approximately 58,000 items are listed. Each product listing includes issue price, year of issue, edition, status and more.

Additionally, the Market Guide & Price Index also contains anniversary wishes from Susan K. Jones, the founding Executive Director of the Collectors’ Information Bureau, and a variety of other industry experts. Jones writes, “You are to be congratulated on keeping the collector at the forefront in everything you do with the CIB. Sharing the news and information that collectors need to enjoy their works of art is what the organization is all about.”
