City of Clermont Promoting Downtown Shopping District for ChristmasBy Roxanne BrownDailyCommercial.com

Clermont, FL – City staff has worked with the Clermont Downtown Partnership to promote holiday shopping in the downtown area.

“We really believe small business down here makes big contributions to, and are an essential part of, our community. They provide local jobs, taxes stay here and they are often the ones who step up to the plate when needed because they know by doing that, they are helping their friends, their neighbors or their own families,” said Clermont Spokeswoman Doris Bloodsworth. “We think it’s a great time of year to remember them when someone is doing their shopping this Christmas.”

Bloodsworth said the city would like people to buy one or more presents from downtown merchants during the holiday season.
