Crafty Needle Now Open in Elmore
Elmore, OH – The Crafty Needle Yarn and Thread is open in Elmore. This is the creation of owner Joan Price. She purchased the entire inventory of The Curiosity Shop when Gwen Piercefield sold the Oak Harbor business.
The Crafty Needle continues to carry high-end yarns for knitting, crocheting, embroidery and needle punch. The needed needles and other accessories are there too.
I asked about the DMC case that so fascinated me at Gwen’s. It is there holding 5,747 skeins of embroidery thread of all colors. Employee Jane Wick said she just completed inventory before my interview. Joan showed me hand-dyed floss that is naturally variegated, giving completed work a more dimensional look. She also showed me the wide range of Aida cloth in both count and color for counted cross-stitch projects. Like Gwen, Joan quickly learned there continues to be a demand for cross-stitch materials.
