Dallas Market Center Increases Free Wi-Fi Access

Dallas Market Center (DMC) today announced an increase in free Wi-Fi access throughout the common areas of its 5 million-square-foot campus with a more than 65 percent increase in bandwidth, allowing faster download speeds. In addition, AT&T has boosted its wireless network throughout the buildings to enhance wireless coverage and capacity.

“We are pleased to offer market attendees more extensive free Wi-Fi and better cell service,” said Bill Winsor, president and CEO, Dallas Market Center. “Each year we continue to expand the complimentary coverage and this past year have more than doubled the bandwidth. We are committed to investing in free Internet access as we grow our online and digital resources.” “AT&T continues to increase wireless network coverage throughout campus,” said Cindy Morris, COO, Dallas Market Center. “With the newly-completed upgrades, buyers are expected to see better wireless coverage than ever before during January Markets.”

“More than 400,000 people visit Dallas Market Center every year, and we know that by keeping them connected, we are helping them conduct more business faster,” said Holly Reed, regional vice president, AT&T. “Our local network engineers have been hard at work enhancing network connections to increase mobile broadband speeds and provide our customers a great network experience while at market.”

Free Wi-Fi service is available throughout Dallas Market Center common areas including: the atrium walkway areas on all World Trade Center (WTC) and Trade Mart floors, hallways in the International Trade Plaza, the Internet Lounge (WTC 1-147), WTC Cafeteria, the runway area on the WTC 14th floor, and the District One Five Lounge (WTC 15th floor). Users can connect to the free Wi-Fi service by selecting the wireless network “1 Free HotSpot from DMC” on their wireless device.
