NYIGF’s At Home Division Expands and Evolves for Winter 2008

White Plains, NY – An expanded collection of hard lines and a refined concentration of soft goods will be among highlights in At Home at the New York International Gift Fair (NYIGF), February 1-6, 2008, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 & 94. Together, the division will showcase more than 500 suppliers of home-related products, including furniture, floor coverings, wall art, lighting, home textiles, decorative accessories and more.

“We are expanding the presentation of home resources at the Fair in response to category demand and also will continue to refine merchandise groupings to facilitate navigation and product sourcing for buyers,” said Dorothy Belshaw, GLM senior vice president and NYIGF director. “At Home exhibitors now will be presented at Pier 92 in addition to Pier 94 and Javits. In line with this expansion, a number of leading furnishing and decorative accessory companies, such as Roost, Ivy Stone, America Retold and Napa Home, have shifted from Javits to Piers 92 and 94, extending the concentration of hard goods resources featured there. At the same time, as part of the continued expansion of mid-to-high-end home textiles at the Javits Center, several premier soft goods suppliers, such as Pine Cone Hill and Matouk, have moved from the Piers to Javits.”

At Home featuring Home Textiles

Mid-to-high end home textiles will double in size at the Javits Center in Winter 2008, with the relocation of key suppliers, such as Pinecone Hill and Matouk, from Pier 94 to Javits. At the same time, an increased number of leading Italian suppliers – such as Besana; Cottimaryanne; Errebi Casa USA Inc.; F.lli Graziano fu Severino spa; Mastro Raphael; Dea; Signoria di Firenze USA; and Tessilarte di Paola Martinelli – will exhibit in NYIGF’s At Home featuring Home Textiles for the first time in February 2008.

Over the next several weeks, several major home textiles suppliers are expected to sign on, adding to the division’s 200 high-end home textiles resources including bed and bath fashions, table linens, kitchen textiles, towels, decorative accessories, area rugs, window treatments and decorative fabrics. Combined with the continued expansion of the New York Home Textiles Market Week at NYIGF, 230 Fifth Avenue and 7 West, buyers will have access to nearly 500 better home textiles suppliers during the Market Week.

At Home – Hard Goods at Piers 94 and 92

In February 2008, At Home will expand to feature a total of 400 hard goods suppliers across Piers 92 and 94. Overall, the addition of several key hard lines suppliers, as well expansion of product lines by several leading At Home exhibitors will position NYIGF as a leading resource for furniture, floor coverings, wall art, lighting, home textiles and decorative accessories.

At Home will expand its presentation to Pier 92, featuring leading relocated resources such as Roost, Ivy Stone, Zentique, Gold Leaf Design Group and Aaron Foster. At Home at Pier 92 will also present Outdoor Living – a concentration of outdoor decor resources from suppliers including Achla Design, Jewels of Java, Kingsley Bate, Ore and The Elegant Earth.

Pier 94 will welcome American Retold, Napa Home and Architects & Heroes Interiors, all relocating from Javits to Pier 94. In addition, a number of current exhibitors, including Bobo Intriguing Objects, Campo de’ Fiori and Shine Home, will expand their exhibit space at Pier 94.

Presented at three locations, At Home features some 500+ exhibitors with a full range of soft and hard lines for the home. At Home at Piers 92 and 94 runs Friday, February 1, through Monday, February 4; and At Home at the Javits Center runs Saturday, February 2, through Wednesday, February 6.

NYIGF is the nation’s premier gift and home accessory marketplace, with 2,700+ exhibitors featuring an extraordinary breadth and depth of design-driven home fashion products and complementary giftware. The Fair runs Friday, February 1, through Wednesday, February 6, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, Metropolitan Pavilion and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 & 94. NYIGF is held concurrently with EX*TRACTS: New discoveries in beauty and wellness at the Javits Center and Home Textiles Market Week at the Javits Center and Piers, 230 Fifth Avenue and 7 West 34th Street.
