Four Venues Present Hundreds of New and Established Resources

White Plains, NY – With four New York City venues open concurrently during winter 2010 Home Textiles Market Week®, home textiles buyers can access an unparalleled breadth and depth of resources from established industry leaders and market newcomers. For six days – from Friday, January 29 through Thursday, February 4 – the market will feature more than 600 bed, bath, linen and home fashion vendors, at the New York International Gift Fair® (NYIGF®) at the Javits Center and Pier 94; 230 Fifth Avenue and 7 W New York at 7 West 34th Street.

“New York Home Textiles Market Week offers buyers the largest collection of mid-to-high end home textiles resources in the United States,” said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and GLM senior vice president. “The Market’s concurrence with NYIGF, and the showrooms’ gift markets, provides buyers with overall access to more than 100,000 complementary gift, lifestyle and home lines. No other U.S. market offers such a depth of home textiles and breadth of related products.”

Notable for winter 2010, is the first-time participation of nearly 60 companies across all market locations. In addition, established home fashion suppliers, such as Forza & Home and Gerry Nichols, are returning following an absence from the market; and leading brands, including Blissliving Home, Dransfield & Ross, Fino Lino, Libeco Home and Versai are expanding their presence at market. NYIGF offers a concentration of some 200 mid-to-high end home fashions within At Home featuring Home Textiles at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Among highlights of the winter market are the addition of eight leading suppliers and established luxury brands to At Home featuring Home Textiles: Amity Home, Dea, Dream Sacks, Forza, Mastro Raphael, Pillow Talk, Serenity Fair and Tasha Polizzi. These companies join key repeat exhibitors: Downtown, Fino Lino, Home Treasures, John Robshaw, Legacy, Matouk, Matteo, Pinecone Hill, SDH, Sferra, Traditions by Pam Kline and Versai.

NYIGF’s other seven divisions present another 240+ home textile suppliers with design-driven resources in Accent on Design® (Ann Gish, Chilewich, Dwell, Judy Ross, Missoni and Textillery), handcrafted textiles in Handmade® (Kevin O’Brien), on-trend lifestyle home fashions in Studio (American Terry Co., Kitsch’n Glam and Suburban Silk) and kitchen and dining textiles in Tabletop & Housewares (Kim Seybert, Now Designs and The Ulster Linen Company). In total, NYIGF presents 2,700 exhibitors in eight divisions at New York City’s Javits Center and Pier 94.

At 7 W New York, 10 floors contain nearly 150 established home textiles suppliers and high-end home fashion lines, including Creative Bath Products, Inc., Cloud9 Design, InterDesign, Peacock Alley, tag and Textrade. Among winter 2010 highlights are the addition of ten new textiles tenants, including Abhiasmi Inc./A Paliwal Group Co., Home Essentials & Beyond, and Urban Oasis; and the incorporation of some 23 new lines, including Nance Carpet & Rug, Pomegranate, Silk’n Dreams, and Standard Textile, by long-standing 7 West tenants.

230 Fifth Avenue, the New York Market Center™, will welcome ten new tenants, including Luxury Home Textile, Inc., United Linens and Vivatex Home to the winter 2010 market. Other notable home fashion suppliers featured within the building’s 20 floors are Libeco Home (which is expanding it showroom this winter), Linens ‘N’ Essentials, Park B. Smith, Ltd. and Yves Delorme. In total, 200 companies, offering a diverse collection of product lines and categories, are presented at 230 Fifth Avenue.

To supplement the wealth of resources offered at all four Home Textiles Market Week locations, a full slate of educational seminars and social events are scheduled. Highlights include Color Pulse 2011, a seminar at Javits previewing key color trends, presented by the International Furnishings & Design Association (IFDA) New York Chapter; and several seminars as part of the NYC Baby & Kids Fair taking place on the 11th floor of 7 W. As an added benefit, market participants are entitled to free admission to the New Museum during Market Week, compliments of NYIGF, 7 West New York, 41 Madison and 230 Fifth Avenue.

In addition, the New York Home Textiles Market Week “Best New Products” Awards will recognize select home textiles suppliers for excellence in four categories – Bath, Bed, Dining and Home Accessories – along with one overall “Best of Market distinction.

Home Textiles Market Week opens at 7 W New York on Friday, January 29, with the New York International Gift Fair® (NYIGF) and 230 Fifth Avenue both opening on Saturday, January 30.
