Gamewright’s Latest Games Rake in the Accolades
Newton, MA – Gamewright, a leading family game manufacturer based in Newton, Massachusetts, is wrapping up the year on a high note. The manufacturer recently earned over 50 awards for all nine of its 2010 introductions. Highest honors include the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Seal for Take the Cake and Hide and Eeek!, the Mensa Select award forForbidden Island, and Parents’ Choice Gold for Rory’s Story Cubes and Can You See What I See? Bingo Link. This marks the first time since 2001 that Gamewright has won Parents’ Choice gold, and the first time ever that two games won in the same calendar year. The Mensa award is one of the most coveted awards in the game industry.
Sounds Like a Plan, a hilarious party game that’s all about giving outrageous advice, is one of Gamewright’s top winners with a total of seven awards for the year. Other honors include the Gold award from the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio, Dr. Toy’s 10 Best Games and Tillywig’s Laugh Out Load Award.
Order’s Up!, a fast playing, diner-themed game is also recognized by Oppenheim Toy Portfolio with the Gold award, and Dr. Toy’s pick as a Best Vacation Product. Dweebies, a card game with a colorful cast of characters, received National Parenting Publications Awards (NAPPA) Gold and an iParenting Media Award.
The National Parenting Center, which was founded in July of 1989 with the intention of providing the most comprehensive and responsible, parenting advice, chose Take the Cake, Gamewright’s latest preschool game, to honor with its Seal of Approval.
