Dunnville, ON – Fifty years ago a tuck shop was opened in the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital with only a pass through window and a couple tables and chairs for its customers.

Over the years, the tuck shop was relocated and with new space the business also evolved to become an artfully decorated shop full of gifts, personal items and confectionary treats.

Now known as the hospital’s gift shop, every good can be purchased without the addition of HST..

“People in the community are starting to finally realize we are here,” said Betty Madill, buyer and decorator for the hospital gift shop.
