GHTA confirms 2018-2019 board

The Gift and Home Trade Association (GHTA) confirmed its 2018-2019 board of directors during the 16th GHTA Annual Conference, held Oct. 24-26 in Phoenix, Arizona.

The GHTA’s 2018-2019 executive board is as follows: George Kacic, AmericasMart Atlanta, chairman of the board; Lance Hart, DEMDACO, president; Angela Schmook, Road Runners, LLC, vice president; Jackie Moon of Next Step Reps, secretary; and Michael Nieves of Paladone, treasurer.

The GHTA also added three new members to its board: Michelle Manningham of Living Royal; Erik Legenhausen of Lotus Jewelry Studio; and Joan Ulrich of Dallas Market Center. Continuing their board terms are: Meg Gilmore of Anne McGilvray and Company; Julia Higgins of Corkcicle; Terence Morris of Las Vegas Market/International Market Centers; John Toler of Evergreen Enterprises; and Robin Kert of Southeast Marketing. Andy Bjork of Ivystone Group will continue as parliamentarian.

All GHTA board members are chosen using a nomination process. The members of the GHTA then vote to confirm each member at the annual GHTA conference.

“Coming out of the conference, and even throughout it, the energy has been exceptionally positive and we’re looking forward to continuing that momentum as a board,” said Lance Hart, newly elected president of the GHTA. “We are in a great position to elevate the GHTA, its members, and industry support to the next level. With the caliber and passion of our board of directors, I know we will be successful in that regard.”
