This Sunday: Gift for Life’s annual Party for Life in NYC

Gift for Life, the gift, stationery and home decor industries’ leading charitable organization, today announced the exciting details of its winter 2011 national fundraising event and 19th anniversary party. Gift for Life’s Party for Life, benefiting DIFFA, will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2011, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the Central Park Boathouse in New York City. The popular event will take place during the New York International Gift Fair®.

“It’s a party, it’s a fundraiser, it’s a great event for entertaining and mingling,” said Jenny Hammons, chair of the Gift for Life board. “This single evening raises much needed funds and touches the lives of people around the country.”

The Party for Life will feature food, drink, and a short program honoring industry leaders with three awards: the Design for Life Award being presented to Kathy Ireland, the Bert Tonkin Gift of Giving Award being presented to David Moses, and the Trailblazer Award being presented to Mud Pie LLC founder and CEO Marcia Miller.

Guests will also compete for a wide array of prizes available at silent auction including jewelry, photography services, and more. Three live auction items will tempt guests with unique experiences: two VIP tickets to a taping of The Late Show with David Letterman and hotel accommodations for two nights at the Trump SoHo New York hotel. Also available are two VIP tickets with backstage passes for the Janet Jackson concert on March 19 in New York City.

The centerpiece prize is luxury accommodations in a first-class resort in Turks and Caicos. This prize package includes seven days and six nights in a 3200 square foot condominium at the Seven Stars resort on the island of Providenciales.  This prize has been generously donated by Patricia and Gerard Creagh.

Individual tickets to the Party for Life are available for $125.
