Gift shop goes above and beyondBy Brandi PerryHattiesburgAmerican.com

Treasures Unlimited, a gift shop that offers many other services, is owned by Carol Jean Myers of Columbia.

Myers started her first business in Hattiesburg in 1985 and stayed at that location until 1989. In August 1989, Myers opened Treasures Unlimited in Columbia and has helped customers in numerous ways during the past 19 years.

“It had always been a dream of mine,” Myers said. “And when I hit 35, I realized it had to be done either now or never. “

This well-known gift shop offers many things to make shopping convenient for customers. Bridal registry, balloons for different occasions, candles and baby gifts are among the items offered.

“We go above and beyond what it takes to meet a customer’s need in a small town,” Myers said. “I am accessible at anytime. What I put into the shop is what my customers get out of it.”
