GLM Appoints Gray to Director, Digital Marketing & Analytics

GLM has announced the promotion of Melissa Gray to director, digital marketing & analytics, effective immediately.

In this newly created role, Gray will work as part of GLM’s eight-person Digital Products team, and in cooperation with various show teams, to develop a strategic vision for the launch and integration of new online resources, like the 365 suite, and raise awareness of digital marketing technologies across GLM. She will report to Jason Brown, GLM chief digital officer.

“The creation of this role supports GLM’s growth strategy, and is critical as we are introducing new online resources with increasing speed across the company,” commented Brown. “Effectively educating our retailer and exhibitor customer base about the benefits of these new initiatives, and how they can support their business and market experiences, is essential. The leadership Melissa has exhibited in developing successful, integrated marketing campaigns and her deep, first-hand knowledge of trade and event-related markets, uniquely position her for this role.”

Gray most recently served as group marketing director, National Stationery Show®, Creative & Lifestyle Arts™, SURTEX®, SURTEX Asia and Source™NY. She joined GLM in 2005, as media supervisor, and was promoted to marketing manager, in 2008, and group marketing director, in 2012. Gray received a BA in Public Relations from Utica College of Syracuse University, and is a graduate of the IAEE (International Association of Exhibitions and Events) Krakoff Leadership Institute.

The GLM Digital Products team develops online resources which enhance the organization’s events, shows and conferences. Using the latest technology, the team ensures all GLM online platforms – whether accessed through desktop, mobile, tablet or app – create market efficiencies and maximize buyer-seller connectivity. Recent launches include NYNOW365.com, a lead-generating, image-based product directory, with 45,000 products from more than 1,200 NY NOW exhibitors.
