Insight Expert, Pam Danziger, Headlines 2013 GHTA Conference

The Gift and Home Trade Association, the industry’s leading non-profit trade association, is pleased to announce one of its keynote speakers for the 11th Annual GHTA Conference, held in San Diego, California, October 2-5, 2013. Pam Danziger, an internationally recognized expert specializing in consumer insights, will take the stage on October 3. She will discuss the results of a July/August 2013 survey to thousands of independent retailers identifying business trends, challenges, and opportunities.

“Pam is a well-recognized expert within our industry,” shared John Keiser, president of the Gift and Home Trade Association and CEO of OneCoast. “Her insights and findings from this timely survey will be invaluable to all of our members. Danziger is the president of Unity Marketing, a boutique marketing consulting firm specializing in providing business insights into the mind of the affluent consumer and independent specialty retail. She received the Global Luxury Award for top luxury industry achievers presented at the Global Luxury Forum in 2007 by Harper’s Bazaar. She was also named to Luxury Daily’s elite list of 25 “Luxury Women to Watch 2013.” Pam is the author of several books including Putting the Luxe Back in Luxury: How New Consumer Values are Redefining the Way We Market Luxury (Paramount Market Publishing, 2011) and Why People Buy Things They Don”t Need: Understanding and Predicting Consumer Behavior (Dearborn Trade Publishing, 2004).

Danziger is a highly sought keynote speaker. She recently addressed large conference audiences, including Global Shop, National Retail Federation, The Conference Board, American Nursery and Landscape Association, Casual Furniture Market, The Luxury Show by JCK, National Plumbing and Hardware Association’s Annual Convention, and International Housewares Association.

The 2013 GHTA Conference, which will be held at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina in San Diego, California, provides a platform for sales representatives, manufacturers, and other industry service providers to network and share best business practices, while learning from nationally-known and industry speakers.
