Kitchen Central Opens in Roslindale Square
Roslindale, MA – After a few recent store closings, Roslindale Village Main Street Executive Director Christina DiLisio said she was happy to have Kitchen Central recently open on Birch Street in the space previously occupied by Matimba Gallery.
West Roxbury native Maryann Halley, owner of the Square’s newest store, said she drawn to the location for its sense of community and the multitude of eclectic vendors, including gift shops, boutiques and specialty food stores.
“I have to say that there’s not a day that I’m here that I’m not welcomed by people from Roslindale and the surrounding areas (and told) how excited they are to have a shop like this,” said a smiling Halley behind the register of her new store, wearing a black tank top and jeans.
