Lakeshore Lighthouse Has Grand OpeningBy Lee LawrenzGreenBayPressGazette.com

Fred and Sherry Brusda purchased a grocery store on Kewaunee’s west side in 1993 and converted it into a mini-mall.

Eighteen years later, the popular concept lives on with new ownership.

The Brusdas sold the former Center Court, which is anchored by a BP gas station and convenience store, on Oct. 29. Other stores in the mall are a Subway restaurant, a Cellcom service store and a flower and gift shop.

The property was acquired by Jessie and Evelyn Singh, and their nephew, Baldeep Singh. Baldeep is the manager of the convenience store, which is open until 9 p.m. daily.

Jessie and Evelyn Singh have owned a gas station and convenience store in Kaukauna for 20 years. They heard the Kewaunee property was for sale and thought the lakeshore land and business would be a good investment. Baldeep Singh, who had two years of business experience working in their convenience store, is in charge as the active partner.

“(Baldeep) is polite, well-mannered, helpful,” Jessie said. “He’s ready to provide the people with great service.”
