Longmont’s Second ‘Cash Mob’ Draws 25 People
Longmont, CO – Twenty-five people converged on Longmont’s City Café Saturday afternoon, knowing they’d be making a group shopping visit to a store somewhere else in Longmont later that afternoon but not knowing exactly where.
At 3 o’clock, though, they learned — through a mysterious telephone call from “Guido” — that their buying destination for the afternoon would be the Longmont Humane Society Thrift Store at 700 Ken Pratt Blvd.
“This is wonderful,” said Thrift Store Associate Mickie Christie, as this month’s participants in the “Longmont Cash Mob” descended on the store and began picking out items to take back to their homes, their businesses and their families.
