Everything your art desires’ in Marlborough
Marlborough — Step inside the door covered with a painting of the Mona Lisa with a lilac in her hair to enter Randi Isaacson’s own version of the Louvre Museum on Rte. 20.
The gallery of the Post Road Art Center is packed with interesting works by local artists, stained-glass flowers shining in the sun and exotic shaman figurines dressed with alpaca feathers.
Inside the signature purple exterior of Isaacson’s 19th century, two-story colonial home and business, the walls are covered with shelves of art supplies, rows of frames nestled atop one another and Isaacson’s own striking oils of P-Town partygoers frazzled but hopeful.
“At first I just planned to do framing and sell posters. Next I thought I might try art supplies. Then I decided to sell works by local artists,” she said. “It’s so much fun. It’s like owning the candy store.”
