Marriage of Two Best-Selling Society Hill Snacks Cooks Up a Tasty Introduction at Fancy Food Show

Philadelphia, PA – It’s an old story and always a popular one . . . like the union of the Capulets and the Montagues, or the Hatfields and the McCoys . . . it’s the fusion of rivals, the “sweets” and the “salties”, but this time with a blissful happy ending. Ronna Schultz, president of artisanal premium snack manufacturer, Society Hill Snacks, announced the joining of two of the company’s best-selling snacks, Loco Coco and Black Lava, into its latest temptation. The new snack will be called Black Lava Coco Almonds and will be introduced at the Summer Fancy Food Show.

The snack is a complex blend of flavors and textures, starting off with premium roasted almonds that are coated with Society Hill Snacks’ famous buttery coco glaze, prepared in small batches in its vintage copper kettles. Finally, the morsels are lightly dusted with black Hawaiian sea salt to provide an interesting flavor blend and texture.

Said Schultz, “The creation of this new snack was a result of our brainstorming around the concept of producing the best of the best, pairing two of our best-sellers or most popular snacks, that would prove to be even more popular. In other words, we wanted to see if one plus one could equal three, so to speak. So we put together the best features of both Loco Coco and Black Lava and the new combination just blew us away, and a new snack was born.”

The new Black Lava Coco Almonds are available in bulk packaging, deluxe gift cylinders, and in attractive, retail packaging. Retailers will be able to see the packaging options and sample many of Society Hill Snacks’ products at the upcoming Fancy Food Show in Washington, D.C. July 10-12 – Booth 5400.
