‘Moonpies N Dragonflies’ Announces Grand Opening of Permanent Showroom in Atlanta

Atlanta, GA – MoonPies N Dragonflies, a partnership that combines the creative vision and entrepreneurial savvy of five business-owning moms, announces the grand opening of its permanent showroom in Atlanta’s Americasmart, January 10 – 16, 2008. The MoonPies N Dragonflies showroom will offer visitors a unique buying experience designed to delight and tempt them with an array of quality artwork, bedding, furniture, accessories, and clothing for infants and children.

Each partner in MoonPies N Dragonflies has built a successful business in her own right. Their decision to come together and establish a permanent “home” to showcase their respective product lines reflects a shared commitment to quality and customer service that go above and beyond typical standards. The MoonPies N Dragonflies showroom at Americasmart will display complete room vignettes, giving buyers a real-world sense of how the products look, feel, and function. At each market, there will be one-of-a-kind furniture pieces and samples of each company’s products. Buyers can place orders, or purchase pieces on the spot.

“We will always have something new and unique in the showroom to awe and inspire our buyers,” says partner Leane Boksleitner, eliciting nods of agreement from her fellow MoonPies N Dragonflies collaborators. “High-level customer service is one of the things that truly sets us apart. We want to work with the stores to really show them how to sell our products and do all that we can to help them increase their bottom line. We even offer an optional design service for stores carrying our lines, where we come to their stores and help set up their displays.” Our furniture line, Sweet Beginnings, can even build custom displays for the retailers’ products.

The Grand Opening celebrations are taking place January 10th through 16th in the MoonPies N Dragonflies showroom at Atlanta Americasmart, Building 3, 13E321A. Ribbon Cutting will be held Jan 12th at 9:30 am.

ABOUT THE FIVE “MOONPIES N DRAGONFLIES” PARTNER COMPANIES

Alli Taylor Bedding, Inc. Owner: LeAne Boksleitner. (allitaylorbedding.com.)

Today, Alli Taylor Bedding offers a delightful array of custom crib and juvenile bedding sets in contemporary colors and deluxe fabrics, along with coordinated rugs, window treatments and custom lampshades. But the business had its origins in a true labor of love – with owner LeAne Boksleitner designing her own baby’s nursery. After looking everywhere for just the right nursery bedding, LeAne realized that what she envisioned simply wasn’t out there. So began her search for the perfect fabrics. Once she found the soft, durable, quality fabrics she’d been seeking, LeAne set about the wonderful process of creating a nursery that would inspire and nurture little Alli Taylor. After Alli’s arrival, LeAne decided to let her new passion for children’s rooms become her career; hence the creation of Alli Taylor Bedding!

Creative Concepts by Jill. Owner: Jill Wells Backstrom. (creativeconceptsbyjill.com.)

Creative Concepts, owned and operated by Jill Wells Backstrom, offers whimsical, hand-painted custom art canvases, and room accents for children, along with an extra-special line of art and accessories to match the Alli Taylor bedding sets. Little did Jill know that painting a mural for her niece’s nursery six years ago would blossom into a career. As word of her creative talents spread, Jill began painting murals for family, friends, and friends of friends, eventually earning a degree in Interior Design and launching Creative Concepts. Based on customer requests, Jill keeps expanding her line to include children’s room accents – canvases, growth charts, door signs, baby sleeping signs, and more. “This is the best job anyone could ever ask for,” says Jill.

Pineapple Cove Baby. Owner: Deborah Stepler. (pineapplecove.com.)

Pineapple Cove Baby is the brainchild of Deborah Stepler, a very busy parent of two who had grown tired of carrying around oversized diaper bags that weighed more than her child. In early 2006, after more than a year of product research, sample production, and market testing, Deborah introduced the “Simply Sophisticated Diapering Collection.” Designed with the experienced parent in mind, the line offers moms, dads, and caretakers options for traveling light when on the go. Sold in fine boutiques across the country, online and internationally, it seems that many parents agree with Deborah’s “lighter perspective.”

Sweet Beginnings. Owner: Patrice Flashner Fitzgerald. (sweetbeginningsinc.com.)

Sweet Beginnings is the creation of Patrice Flashner Fitzgerald, a children’s lifestyle design pioneer. Sweet Beginnings offers an enchanting and complete children’s collection of lovingly hand-painted furniture pieces and wall-decor. Sweet Beginnings has incorporated functionality, which allows the children to grow naturally with their furnishings, by using inspiring lifestyle designs. The pieces can be customized in many different ways to fit your needs and to provide “a creative environment for living.” Since 1998, when Patrice began producing a limited line of children’s furniture, Sweet Beginnings has developed into a complete and balanced collection of hand-crafted home furnishings and accessories that set the pace for today’s home decor lifestyle.

Skipping Hippos. Owner: Jolie Fay. (skippinghippos.com.)

Growing up in Wyoming, Jolie Fay took to heart the sign in her mom’s sewing room that said, “She who dies with the most fabric wins!” And the legacy continues with Jolie’s Skipping Hippos line of charming hooded ponchos for little girls. We can thank Jolie’s lack of preparedness for this fashion line. In need of a coat for her daughter one brisk San Francisco summer day, and armed only with piles of fabric and a pair of scissors, Jolie started cutting. And the rest is history. The ponchos’ warm fleece fabrics, bright colors, and signature accouterments (such as playful pom-pom trim) ensure plenty of “fun” along with function. If you and your daughter are on an undercover spy mission, leave her poncho at home! People will notice, and people will stop you to talk about your beautiful little girl in her cute little Skipping Hippos poncho.
