NY NOW Winter 2023 market returns to Javits Center
NY NOW’s Winter 2023 Market returns to the Jacob Javits Center in New York City on Feb. 5-8.
According to show executives, the show will feature visual rebranding, a reorganized show floor, modern activations from brands, a food and beverage experience and tech-powered activations. Leading the charge behind this season’s market approach is the recently acquired online wholesale marketplace Bulletin.
“The Bulletin and NY NOW teams have been hard at work rethinking the on-site experience for exhibitors and buyers alike,” says Alana Branston, group vice president of Gift & Home. “We’re really excited to unveil NY NOW’s fresh look and feel, and are confident everyone will sense how much thought, effort and creativity we’ve put into Winter Market.”
The market will feature nearly 1,000 brands and makers across a variety of industries, including gift, accessories, home décor, luxury lifestyle, toys, stationery and more.
Among buyers such as Anthropologie, The Conservatory NYC, Uncommon Goods, Nordstrom, and FOOD52, the market welcomes brands including Chillhouse, Subtle Art Studios, Hudson and Oak, and MMANN Candles, to name a few. Returning to the show are SallyeAnder, Focalpoint Home, MAAKO, Graypants, HMM Project, Merritt International, Denik, Sunnylife and Project Genius.
The upcoming market will also have a strong international presence with brands exhibiting from over 38 countries, including Australia, Latin America, United Kingdom, Italy, Sweden, Ireland and Germany.
Additionally, Bulletin will produce its first ever “Bulletin Pavilion” at this season’s Market: a dedicated section of the show aimed to be a new go-to resource for ‘IRL’ trends, meeting new and emerging wholesale brands, and building community. The pavilion will feature curated brands from Bulletin’s online wholesale marketplace across home décor, tabletop, lifestyle, accessories, and beauty and wellness. The brands featured are either newer to wholesale or entirely new to market.
At the center of the pavilion will be a “Smoke Shop Lounge” activation, run by cannabis product design and production studio Sackville & Co. As cannabis legalization sweeps the nation and consumer demand is at an all-time high, Bulletin and NY NOW partnered with Sackville to include cannabis in the market conversation for the first time. The Smoke Shop Series will include intimate panel conversations with Cyndi Ramirez of Chillhouse, Ty Haney of Outdoor Voices and Try Your Best (TYB), Brett Heyman of Edie Parker, and more to be announced.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to partner with Sackville & Co. and the rapidly growing cannabis small business community at-large,” says Brooklynn Gallagher, senior director of brand partnerships. “Our activation with Lana and Hayley, and our planned programming with Cyndi, Ty and Brett, are all great examples of how Bulletin is bringing innovation and new conversation to NY NOW’s show floor. We don’t just see ourselves as event facilitators or as a wholesale marketplace, but as a community where small business can meet, network and learn from each other and the leaders in their industries.”
