NYC Restaurant Week Offers Dining Discounts During NYIGF

NYC Restaurant Week™, one of New York City’s most popular promotions, will coincide with the winter 2013 edition of the New York International Gift Fair® (NYIGF®), January 26-30, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 & 94. During Restaurant Week, which runs January 14-February 8, 2013, more than 300 of the City’s most acclaimed restaurants will offer dining discounts available to NYIGF participants, as well as the general public.

“From the exotic to the ordinary, New York’s dining scene is among the world’s best,” said Christian Falkenberg, NYIGF director and GLM vice president. “NYC Restaurant Week offers NYIGF participants a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some of the City’s best restaurants at a fraction of the usual price.”

Restaurant Week includes dining establishments throughout Manhattan and the boroughs, representing both casual and formal dining in a variety of cuisines. Participating restaurants offer a $25 three-course prix-fixe lunch, and/or a $38 three-course prix-fixe dinner, excluding beverage, tax and gratuity. These prices are available weekdays only, although restaurants do have the option to offer the program on Sundays.

The country’s first-ever restaurant week, NYC Restaurant Week debuted in 1992. Restaurant reservations, which are encouraged for this popular event, can be made online at www.nycgo.com/restaurantweek. This site also provides a complete list of participating restaurants along with their promotional menus.

NYIGF is the nation’s premier gift, home and lifestyle marketplace, with 2,800 exhibiting companies featuring an extraordinary breadth and depth of design-driven home fashion products and complementary giftware. The winter market takes place Saturday January 26, through Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 and 94. Some 35,000 attendees from all 50 states and more than 80 countries worldwide are expected. Information and registration is available online atwww.nyigf.com.
