Expansion of At Home yields NYIGF
White Plains, NY – Through strategic expansion of home furnishings and related products, the Summer 2008 New York International Gift Fair (NYIGF) will present more than 600 suppliers of hard lines and soft goods – from traditional to contemporary and indoor to outdoor, August 16-21, in New York City.
At Home’s comprehensive collection of products for the home, including furniture, floor coverings, wall art, lighting, home textiles, decorative accessories and more, will be presented at three New York City locations: Level One of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 and 94. Beyond the concentration of home furnishings resources in At Home, suppliers of related specialty home products are featured in other NYIGF divisions: Studio, a juried lifestyle division showcasing a variety of trend-driven, innovative lifestyle merchandise; Handmade featuring handcrafted and artisanal home accessories; and Accent on Design presenting contemporary, design-driven furniture and home products.
“NYIGF offers furniture and home accessory buyers a depth of merchandise in their core category, as well as a breadth of related cross-category products of the same quality and aesthetic, in one comprehensive and convenient market,” said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director. “Our targeted refinement and expansion of At Home, in particular, has resulted in the creation of a large-scale ‘home’ show presented within the context of a larger gift and home marketplace.”
At Home’s carefully-edited concentration showcases existing suppliers alongside emerging resources. Several new exhibitors, such as Julian Chichester USA, are expected to debut at the summer show, representing leading home suppliers who are not currently part of the New York market. At the same time, major returning suppliers, such as Bobo Intriguing and Notre Monde, will expand their presentations and lines this August.
At Home at Pier 94 presents a comprehensive collection of hard goods, including furniture, floor coverings, wall art, lighting and decorative accessories, from both established suppliers and innovative newcomers, including Global Views, Natural Curiosities, Barclay Butera Home, Shine Home and Julian Chichester USA. At Home also continues to expand at Pier 92 following its winter debut, presenting additional hard lines across all categories, along with a concentration of outdoor decor resources. Notable participants include: roost, Ore Inc., Aaron Foster Designs and ART Addiction.
At the Javits Center, At Home will continue to coalesce its mid-to-high-end home textiles resources, reflecting the cooperation between NYIGF, 230 Fifth Avenue and 7 West to produce Home Textiles Market Week. Through this coordinated effort, buyers have access to some 500 mid-to-high-end home textiles resources – the largest concentration of luxury home fashions in the U.S. – in one easy-to-shop market. Sferra Bros. Ltd., Traditions, MATOUK and Pine Cone Hill are among leading home suppliers represented in At Home featuring Home Textiles.
At Home runs Saturday, August 16, through, Wednesday, August 20 at the Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 & Pier 94; and Sunday, August 17, through Thursday, August 21, at the Javits Center. A complete schedule is available online at www.nyigf.com.
NYIGF is the nation’s premier gift and home accessory marketplace, with 2,800+ exhibitors featuring an extraordinary breadth and depth of design-driven home fashion products and complementary giftware. NYIGF runs August 16-21, 2008, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Center, Metropolitan Pavilion and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 & 94.
